Trust Collective is a cooperative, community-based labeler for Bluesky.
We help verify users to build trust in our online communities.
Bluesky is a new social network on a new premise - a protocol, decentralized systems, sharing a common language.
This is exciting, but it also means there's no central moderation, no central verification.
But we have the ability on Bluesky to build a sense of collective trust.
That's what we're doing here at Trust Collective.
Trust Collective runs a community-based labeler for Bluesky. If you subscribe to our service, you can see labels we apply to accounts.
Labels can do a lot of things. For one, we can use them to verify accounts based on principles of community trust.
A label comes with a commitment that the account is truly who or what they say they are.
We build labels based on community input, we apply criteria sourced from the community, and the community that trusts us subscribes to use our labels.
Trust Collective also acts as a community-driven moderator.
Users who subscribe to Trust Collective can report content and users to our moderators, who will review based on community-built principles. We can assign labels warning of abuse, harassment, and others we determine together.
Labels can inform users, warn them, or block content.
Through labeling and tags, Trust Collective works to build trust, together.
Subscribe to us on Bluesky, and put your trust in us.
