Here's how we do our labeling and tagging work.
We have an always-open call for labels and tags. We accept requests that can define who would be labelled, why, and how we can collectively verify accounts under this label.
Using Bluesky, we seek input from the Trust Collective user community on how best to verify accounts for each label
We always accept requests for verification. We ask for information about your Bluesky handle, which label or tag you want to be verified under, and we give you a chance to offer any information you think we need.
Using practices that aim to protect privacy and use as little information as possible, we'll work with you to verify your account in a trustworthy way. All information we receive from you will be deleted upon verification.
At the end of the flow, we'll either apply a label or refuse to apply a label. We will be accountable and provide statistics here on how many labels we apply, how many we refuse, and why.
Our goal is community trust. We aim to achieve this through being open in developing our lists of labels and our criteria for applying them, and transparent in how we do this work.
We always accept suggestions for new labels, and we seek input on how we verify people for each.
In our opinion, it shouldn't be a mystery if you're verified or not. It should be something you can trust in.
That's how we do our work.
Accountability is key to trust in communities.
We'll publish here, monthly, statistics on the numbers of labels, requests, and verifications we work on.
